Article Z relies on international partnerships and alliances.
It was founded in 1998 by Patrice Barrat and six other associates: Johan Almqvist, Jordi Ballo, Ian Burton, Assaad Haidar, Ademir Kenovic et Pierre Peyrot. Sabine Moisan joined Article Z in 1998 to handle the distribution department.

President of Article Z, Patrice Barrat a journalist since 1976, has successively worked for radio, the press and television.
He was with RTL (76-79), The Nouvelles Littéraires (80-84), and director and chief-editor at Gamma-Télévision (84-88). In 1988 he co-founded the news agency Point du Jour for wich he was also program director until 1995. He then started the association Internews Europe (95-98). He is currently on the boards of "Causes Communes" and INPUT (International Public Television Conference).
His documentaries have received such awards as a BAFTA Award and the Adolf Grimme Preis.

Sabine Moisan is in charge of the distribution of all Article Z productions. After ten years' involvment in traditional print media, managing "La Pierre Bleue", a Paris bookshop, she completed a Masters degree in Communication Technology in 1994. Since then she has worked as a production assistant on Catherine Corsini's film, "Les Amoureux", & was Assistant Project Manager for CD-ROM production at Montparnasse Multimedia, where she contributed to "The Warsaw Ghetto" & "The Resistance". She worked with Patrice Barrat on a variety of projects since 1997, before joining Article Z in 1998.
