| On one side, in Jerusalem, an Israeli, Eyal Sher. On the other side, exiled in Paris, a Palestinian, Jawad Abed Rabbo. For many years in the Middle East conflict, those who spoke to each other in secret ended up murdered. Only recently have delegates from the two sides been openly seeking to negociate an agreement. Eyal and Jawad, who speak only for themselves, agreed to exchange views while knowing nothing in advance about each other. Over days and nights they sought to take the exchange as far as it would go, at times coming almost to the point of conflict, and at other times reaching an accord. Both of them realize that perfect justice would remain out of reach. |
